Design Intent: The Arahura Marae is set in a unique location in New Zealand and we wanted to emphasise the distinctive qualities of the climate and landscape. The aim was to represent Arahura in the landscape in a unique way that gives a sense of place and is remembered by all that live, visit and return to the community.
