Elizabeth Hopkins has grown biotech start-ups to successful companies, worked for large multinationals, including Pfizer, taken chief executive
and directorship roles both here and abroad, and consulted for the Government on science investment. However, the opportunity to utilise her skills, knowledge and commercialisation experience to strengthen the link between research and the ‘real world’, while also promoting research excellence, was too great to pass up.
