DescriptionRethinking parasite control. For farmers, it’s a conundrum wrapped in an enigma enfolded in a woollen blanket. Economics requires farmers to use anthelmintic drugs to control gastrointestinal nematode infections in sheep and cattle, but the intensive use of drenches has seen parasites develop resistance to the common treatments. New approaches to controlling them is therefore critical to the future sustainability of our land-based industries and the livelihood of those who work in them.
